The Clerk has been receiving a few emails/telephone calls lately from residents asking when the tree they’ve requested will be planted.
They’ve noticed that Hampshire County Council have started planting around Ashurst and have planted a tree in their road but not outside their house as requested
The Clerk’s contact at HCC has advised that the planting season runs right through to April.
The planting gangs are working throughout the whole county.
They might be in Gosport one day and then Basingstoke the next and they have been receiving tree deliveries in dribs and drabs.
Occasionally they are unable to plant a tree because of sub surface utilities.
The planting gang check for these prior to planting.
Residents who are expecting a tree may not have received it, as it may not have been delivered from the nursery or could still be on its way to you.
