Parish Council Act of Remembrance
The Parish Council Remembrance Commemoration in the Recreation Ground, 10th November, gave residents the opportunity to observe a two minute silence after which local resident, Dennis Hart, raised the flag on our new flagpole in the Recreation Ground.
Our soldier next to the flagpole has now been in place for six years. We gathered once again to lay wreaths on behalf of the Parish Council and the Royal British Legion.
As before, Mark and Julie Harding were there to represent the Royal British Legion and Chair, Caroline Hubbard laid her wreath on behalf of the Parish Council.
Cllr Trevor Jakeman was present to coordinate the event after representing the Parish Council at the service at Christ Church Colbury where he laid the Parish Council wreath.
