The development of 62 dwellings on the Whartons Lane field was granted provisional planning permission, subject to agreement to a number of legal conditions, in 2022.
The National Park Planning Department has now agreed those conditions with the developers, so construction can begin.
We are seeking clarification about some of those conditions.
A recent request by the developers, that all of the housing should be affordable, was refused at the last National Park Planning Committee.
There has already been some activity at the site, this is to allow examination of the well in the field and assessment of the condition of the existing headwalls (part of the drainage system of the site).
The Parish Council does not have to be kept informed about what is happening at the site, but we will keep residents updated when we do have any information.
