The following is an extract from a Notice issued by HCC in so far as it relates to our Parish. Please watch the Council’s web site and the Notice Boards for updates to this information.

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURES – VARIOUS ROADS IN THE NEW FOREST AREAS

 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council proposes to make an order to allow for works on the highway to be undertaken as follows:

 

ROADS TO BE CLOSED: those parts of the following roads –

    1. Foxhills, Ashurst between its junction with Knellers Lane and its junction with Whartons Lane.

 

    1. Deerleap Lane, Colbury between its junction with A35 and its junction with Staplewood Lane.

     

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: will be signed via the following roads –

    1. Knellers Lane, A326, A35 Hunters Hill, Whartons Lane.

 

    1. Arters Lawn, Twiggs Lane, A326 Marchwood Bypass, A35 Hunters Hill.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From 3rd May 2011 for a period of 12 months or until completion of the works whichever is sooner.  (Notwithstanding the above it is expected that the closures will be required for no longer than 2 days each.) 


With the exception of any emergency works, all closures will be notified a minimum of 2 weeks in advance and diversion routes will be signed at the time of closure.

Reasonable facilities will be provided to allow access to adjacent premises while the work is being carried out.
